How to Download Clipart

It is difficult to describe for each and every browser out there. Especially since I am only familiar with Netscape and Internet Explorer. However, here goes.

Downloading Graphics with Netscape

(IBM and compatibles only)

Click your right mouse button on the image if displayed; or the link to the image, if not displayed. A submenu will appear, select "Save as..." From there, select your subdirectory and use the filename given, which ought to be the same as the one I gave. The file will then be on your disk.

Downloading Graphics with Internet Explorer

(IBM and compatibles only)

Click your right mouse button on the image if displayed; or the link to the image, if not displayed. A submenu will appear, select "Save target as..." From there, select your subdirectory and use the filename given, which ought to be the same as the one I gave. The file will then be on your disk.

Downloading with AOL for WIN95

Same as above. It is presumed the same for AOL for WIN3.1. If anyone can confirm this for me, I will post the results here.

Downloading with other browsers

I am not familiar with other browsers, but will be happy to post instructions if someone will forward them to me. In general, you will need to click or double-click on your link until the picture is displayed by itself, with no other pictures or text. At this point, select the "File" menu. Then select "Save as", and type the filename. If this does not work, please see your browser's help file, or call your customer support for more information.

Clipart Requests

We have placed our public domain and shareware archives on our page. We generally do not have much other clipart, except for that which we have recently acquired by our own browsing or art that has been sent to us. You can fill out our Clipart Request Form to request clipart. Please fill it out completely. This will make it easier for us to refer to your request as we look through our email for possible matches (we may not find your match if you do not do this). We will keep your request on file for 60 days, and will notify you if we have or come across a match. However, please understand that we are unable to honor requests to search for specific art, or to file attach specific files to you. Sometimes we are on the road, and long distance charges apply for internet access.

Can I legally copy and use the clipart on your page?

In short, yes. Please see explanation below.

Public Domain, Shareware and the Copyright Law

We firmly believe in protecting artistic and intellectual property through the laws of our nation that establish copyright protection. The Bible clearly teaches against stealing. Using or copying copyrighted art without the permission of its author is stealing, no matter how you try to justify it. Saying that "It is for the Lord's work" does not make it okay. It is still stealing another's property, and God is not glorified in its use.

For this reason, we do not knowingly display copyrighted clipart on this page. Please honor our policy by not sending us copyrighted art. We have tried to research this art to the best of our ability. However, if you see art on our page that is copyrighted, please contact us immediately using our copyright report form.

Most of the clipart that you see here has been placed into the public domain by its author. This means that you can download and use it freely. However, there is some clipart that is "shareware." This means that it is copyrighted, but its author makes it available for you to view, and then pay them if you decide to use it. This shareware is on a clearly marked page. Shareware is not free, the author merely allows you to view it before you pay for it.

How do I report problems with your clipart?

We have ascertained that the art on this page works in most conventional image browsers and publishing programs. While it is possible that the file is corrupted; experience tells us that most problems with clipart are program-oriented. We suggest that you contact the customer service desk for your software. We have placed a problem report form here ONLY for problems with our clipart. Do not use this form for any other purpose. God bless!

What if I find art on your page that is copyrighted?

Please! By all means report it to us using our copyright report form. Please document for us how you know that the art is copyrighted, and we will tend to it as soon as possible!
